These european style pens were handcrafted using beautiful signature wood (pen on left) from an Autograph tree and lychee wood directly from Hawaii. The pens were given to my parents in celebration of their 45th wedding anniversary trip to Hawaii later this year. Gives them something of the islands to use at work while they're daydreaming of the upcoming cruise! Love you Mom and Dad!

Signature or autograph (Clusia rosea) trees are used as ornamental plants on the island and were brought over from Asia. The name derives from the practice of people scratching messages in the tree's leaves that will stay on the tree for months.
Lychee (Litchi chinensis) is a tropical fruit tree that is also used as ornamental plants and was brought to Hawaii from China. They have small hairy fruit and the wood is extremely dense. Each pen measures 5 5/8" long x 5/8 " in diameter and use a standard (easily found at office supply stores) Cross style refill. |
